IN THE NEAR FUTURE/PLANNING
The AGM will be on 27th November 2009, the official notice will be published in due time, but the club is always looking for new committee members. If you feel that you would like to be part of the committee then please let myself or another committee member know.
We will be arranging various work days during the winter; more details of these will follow. In the meantime if you are willing to help out down at the club for few hours let us know, we have a list of jobs that need dealt with, including painting the windows – I mean window frames of course! (Although windows would be more like it if I tried it!)
The Winter Training program is being put together, if there is an RYA course that you want the club to run please let me know. In the past we have ran VHF courses, Diesel Courses and First Aid Courses but if there is a demand we can arrange for some longer courses like RYA Day Skipper/Coastal /Yacht Master theory courses.
We will be looking to run a series of informal talks/training events too, if there is any subject that you want covered, or, indeed if there is anything interesting you want to give a talk on, or any suggestions for speakers, please let us know and we will see what we can do. Format of these would be a short presentation followed by refreshments.
Hope to see you all down at the club soon and the weather stays good till at least the boats are taken out of water.
