Elie & Earlsferry Sailing Club Crane –in Dinner 2010
Last Saturday night, 17th April, 36 members of the club and guest speaker Angus McIver from Forth Coastguard, were welcomed by the new Commodore Scott Roberts before enjoying a 3 course dinner, guest speaker and some good chat to celebrate the start of the new season.
During the evening Scott outlined the exciting programme of sailing events and social events planned for members to enjoy. Over coffee, the company was addressed by Angus McIver who gave a light hearted presentation with a serious message – safety at sea is so important. Angus invited everyone who goes to sea to call the Coastguard and let them know where you are and what you intend to do on your voyage. The evening was rounded off with a tot of Port supplied with the Commodore’s compliments.
The delicious 3 course meal, prepared by “Let’s Cook” was complimented in a vote of thanks to all from social committee member Graham Meacher when he also thanked Angus McIver and everyone who had worked to make the evening a successful start to the new season.
