Last weekend was full of action packed sailing for members of Elie & Earlsferry Sailing Club. On Saturday five yachts and one of the powerboats cruised to St Monans for the Sea Queen Festival. Members enjoyed watching the new Sea Queen come in on the Reaper and atmosphere in and around the harbour where all the stalls were visited and food and drink taken on board.

Sunday saw six powerboats take part in a cruise to Dysart where members and friends enjoyed a coffee at the Harbour Master’s House and a visit to the interactive visitor centre below the restaurant before returning to Elie. Along with members, were visitors who had travelled to Elie for the cruise from all over Scotland. It was a special treat for those who took part to be joined by the new Kinghorn Inshore Lifeboat and its crew, who came along to Elie for a burger and coffee before joining the fleet on their cruise to Dysart.
After returning to Elie, the crews enjoyed a BBQ at the sailing club before heading home.
On a weekend when the weather was kind to us, a great weekend’s sailing was had by all.
